What Is Truth?

Truth is that feeling you get when you wake up in the morning with a fresh perspective on life.

Truth is when you lay down to rest after an eventful day, and have no regrets, feeling completely at ease

Truth is when you’ve been working on something for 5 hours straight, no coffee, no snack breaks, and you still feel full of energy; then you look at the clock, realize it’s 4am and you thought it was midnight

Truth is that feeling you get just before you call mama to say hello.

Truth is that feeling you have just after you embrace grandma and give her a kiss goodbye

Truth is that feeling you have after hugging your child before their first day of school; knowing they will never be the same

Truth is that feeling you get sitting on the beach in a foreign country; especially when you realize you don’t have to do a damn thing

Truth is that feeling you get when you finally clock out on a Friday, get in the car, put the key in the ignition, turn the  car on, and catch the DJ introducing your most favorite song in the universe

Truth is that feeling you had the first time you said out loud (or quietly): “I really don’t give a f*ck.” And after this profound realization, your whole body felt different.

Truth is that feeling you have when you can think to yourself, “What the f*ck just happened?” with a huge smile on your face.

Truth is that feeling you get when you look at a person squarely in the eyes, and not understand a single word they said but you fully comprehend exactly what they meant.
